Spanish4Lawyers- Legal word of the day- “Tiene”

The word “tiene” is the present tense form of the word “tener” which is “to have”.  ”Tiene can mean “he/she/it/you has” or can  be inverted into a question, as in here “Do you or Does he/she/it have?”

You can listen to “tiene” as the first word of the sentence below to help understand how it sounds.

English:  ”Do you have someone or a family member that can help you fill out forms in your case?  What is the name and phone number?”

Spanish:  ”¿Tiene alguien o aun familiar que le pueda ayudar a llenar  formas en su caso?  ¿Qual es el nombre y numero de telefono?”
